A five member board of supervisors leads each Indiana SWCD. The land
occupiers of the county elect three of the SWCD Supervisors during the
SWCD's annual meeting. Each elected Supervisor holds a three year term.
The SWCD appoints the other two supervisors, through a recommendation to the
State Soil Conservation Board. Each SWCD Supervisor subscribes to a
standard oath of office.
The Martin
County SWCD was formed on April 3, 1945.
